Light Color API
MonroneyLabels.com provides an API for users to predict whether build data is available for a vehicle before decoding it. It will return either green, yellow, or red:
|"green"||Build data available -- The window sticker will be fully automatically decoded. There's nothing more you need to do to display the completed, accurate window sticker.|
|"yellow"||Basic data available -- The window sticker is not fully automatic and must be manually decoded. The user will still get the make, model, style, MSRP, and standard options. However they will not get the list of installed VIN-specific factory options. Instead they will get the list of available option packages and the user must manually check off the options that are on the car to get the completed sticker.|
|"red"||No data available -- We couldn't decode the year and make from the VIN. You might get red if you try to decode motorcycles, vehicles outside the USA, etc.|
This API is the most precise way to predict the VIN decode results.
